What to Expect from Your Upcoming Home Inspection
Your Travelers homeowner policy offers many distinctive coverage options and features. It’s important to
have the right amount of insurance coverage if you need to rebuild or replace your home after a covered
loss. We conduct on-site inspections so your home can be rebuilt with equivalent construction material
and similar features to what it has now.
About this inspection
 A home inspector will visit your property
within the next few weeks.
 You are not required to be home or take
any action for this inspection.
 If you are home, the inspector will provide identification prior to the inspection.
If you are not home, the inspector will leave a door hanger.
 The inspector will measure and photograph your home’s exterior.
 The information will be used to:
o Identify any potential safety or property issues
o Help estimate the cost to rebuild your home in the event of a covered loss
o Confirm the information we used to originally issue your policy
Following the inspection
 If no action is required following your inspection, we may not contact you.
 However, Travelers may contact you if:
o The inspection identifies any repair work or potential property hazards
o Your coverage needs to be adjusted based on the estimated replacement cost
o There are any changes that impact your premium or our ability to insure your home
